A look into how I take care of my client....
2 years ago, I connected with a Single Dad looking to purchase his 1st home. Due to circustances, a 2 year wait was necessary. For 2 years we chatted, checked in and kept in touch while both of us anxiously awaited the news that he was able to purchase.
I had referred him to some lenders and after receiving his 1st Pre Approval, we got the Portal up and running and he picked out "the house". I told him he needs to contact his lender to see what the max he could go. Unfortunately, the 1st lender said he couldn't get the number he needed. Well, I don't accept "no", so I told him to contact any other lender to find out if they can do it for him.
We went to a broker at Front Range Mortgage and he gave us the news we wanted. We went and looked at the home to make sure "it was the one" and it only took minutes for my client to say "Yes".
I submitted an offer, not over asking, $1000 Earnest and requested $5,000 back to help with closing costs. We went Under Contract THE SAME DAY!
On Monday, we closed on the house he longed for and I for one can't help but say how absolutely excited I am and how happy I am that the mortgage company handled the job with the same Customer Service values that I strive for.
This story is why I take such pleasure in helping 1st Time Home Buyers. It is a very hard process...especially when CHFA comes into play. Not one of my clients can say that I don't follow through till the bitter end and do everything I can to protect them and back them up to give them a "Happy Ending". I look forward to seeing yet another client living in a home that I helped him purchase. Ohhhh...what a great feeling!
